LSU-Southern Collaboration to Protect Electric Vehicle Cyber Infrastructure
A collaborative team at LSU and Southern University has been awarded a $1.2 million grant from the National Science Foundation to address critical cybersecurity vulnerabilities in electric vehicle charging stations. This project not only aims to secure these systems but also to educate and train a more diverse cybersecurity workforce, leveraging the strengths of both universities.

‘Epic’ LSU-Berkeley Book About Cybersecurity Hits Shelves This Fall
Cybersecurity in Context is the new book by Professor Golden G. Richard III, director of the LSU Cyber Center and faculty lead for cybersecurity at LSU, and Chris Jay Hoofnagle, professor of law in residence at the University of California, Berkeley. The textbook and complementary set of technical exercises is the first-ever introduction to the full range of cybersecurity challenges and solutions, accessible by students and teachers in any discipline. It will be released by Wiley in the late summer.
Fighting for Their ‘Home Team’ on the Ground and in Cyberspace
SU’s SOC and nation-leading cybersecurity model for higher education in Louisiana is already providing 24/7 protection for several schools.
